Separate cover, core and tread

A fabric finish does not identify the core material. Ask what supports the step and how its top surface behaves under the intended load.

  • Confirm the inner construction of the exact version.
  • Request the usable tread depth after accounting for curved edges.
  • Check the model’s stated load limit.
Do not assume “memory foam” from the title or “washable” from the presence of a fabric cover.

Compare height with floor length

The pictured green three-step stairs are labelled 35 × 56 × 36 cm. The grey four-step picture shows 50 × 70 × 39.8 cm. A higher profile can occupy substantially more of the bedside.

  • Measure from the floor to the mattress top.
  • Mark the selected version’s floor rectangle.
  • Check the remaining transition at the top.
The gingham dimension image shows a two-step variant, while the main view shows three steps. Do not apply the two-step measurements to the three-step image.

Make cleaning part of the choice

Check what can be removed and which cleaning method the seller specifies. A cover that suits the room still needs a practical care routine.

  • Ask whether the selected cover is removable.
  • Confirm washing and drying instructions.
  • Ask about replacement covers if that matters to you.
Match care instructions to the actual cover and core, not to another product with a similar shape.
